Welcome to the mysterious tale of Elfisian Art. In this new era of art expression, you will enter a world that amazes you with plenty of bizarre and rebellious concepts, as well as unknown techniques: the collage of the East and the West; the rebellion against conventional expressionistic art; the fusion of international beliefs, you name it! Just open your mind and indulge yourself into this exotic gallery ☺
In this ePortfolio, I will present my new art formula in a series of journey I encompassed:
Biography
inspiring guidances
The evolution from infancy to full blossom
and
reflections

Also, due to technical difficulties...I decided to put my reflections on the same page as "the evolution from infancy to full blossom".
I apologize for the inconveniences caused.

Elfina, this ePortfolio was great to look through. I thought that the "fotologue" page was a great choice for displaying your work. I really enjoyed looking through your art. The photo of the field with the clouds behind it titled "sky" was my favorite.
I also really liked the fact that you included an "inspiration" page. I feel like I should have included one like it in my own ePortfolio (maybe I'll add one on). Inspiration is so important and you did a really good job of introducing yours (and linking to some great pages).
The biography helped me understand your journey as an artist. My only suggestion is that you choose a few of your favorite pieces from different times in your life and describe how things have changed as you went. You spoke in class about maybe scanning in some artwork from when you were little -- this sounds like a great idea to me!
Overall, I really enjoyed looking through this portfolio. It was well organized and informative but you definitely kept it personal and fun!
Your ePortfolio was visually spectacular! I agree with Yael that the fotologue page was a good idea (as was the opening slide show), although I would have liked to see you highlight some specific works as well. (More on that later.)
The inspiration page was neat, as was the video that went along with it. (However, the "curtains" that were obscuring the sides of the video were irritating. Is there a way to get rid of those?) Just an idea, but could you provide your readers with some examples of outside-artist-influenced art? (Being a Miyazaki fan, I'd love to see how his work influenced yours.)
I agree with Yael that it might benefit your biography section to add a piece for every time period and talk about each one a bit. I think it would help your readers to understand the growth of your art a bit better. (For example, you talk about all the different art forms you've experimented with, but you don't give us any examples of them in your blog!)
Overall, good job! The layout was organized, yet never dull, and your commentary kept me interested to the end!
Hi Elfina, sorry to comment here but I don't know any other way of reaching you!
If you could please comment on my ePortfolio as we discussed in class last week, I'd appreciate it. The final deadline is tomorrow!
I looked back through the pages to see your updates, and you did a great job of revising. I like how you combined the biography + reflection, so we could see your little childhood drawing next to the accompanying part of your biography.
You have such a great sense of line! It's great, especially in the hair.
We should keep in touch! You can email me at yhlevy@gmail.com
